The AVI-8 Blue XV741 automatic model received an incredible reception as a limited edition launch. As a result, AVI-8 has introduced three new versions available in unique and striking color-ways. The model shown here is the AV-4074-01 Admiral Blue Steel.

Detailed, layered and beautifully crafted, the AV-4074-01 automatic is AVI-8’s tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Transatlantic Air Race from London to New York won by Tom Lecky-Thompson in his Harrier XV741 in 1969.
Each component of the AV-4074-01 has been purposefully designed, drawing inspiration from the Harrier XV741 itself. Applied indexes are generously coated with Swiss lume, resulting in a dial that is not only bold and innovative, but clear and legible.

Measuring 44mm in diameter, every detail of the AV-4074-01’s case has been considered. The brushed, polished and chamfered lugs and case bezel are topped by a scratch-resistant sapphire lens with anti-reflective coating. Under the hood, the AV-4074-01 is powered by a modified 21 jewel, 21,600 vph, Miyota 8 series automatic movement. A custom self-winding rotor has been designed to echo the Harrier's distinguished Rolls Royce Pegasus engine.

Inspired by the code name Operation "Blue Nylon" given to the XV741's participation in the air race, a comfortable leather and nylon strap been designed to attach the case to the wrist.
