Islander 38mm Automatic Dive Watch with Solid-Link Bracelet, AR Sapphire Crystal, and Luminous Ceramic Bezel Insert #ISL-22

Island Watch would like to introduce you to the new Islander dive watch. You will immediately notice that is has a very familiar 38mm case with an offset screw-down crown at 4:00. Thickness is 13mm and tip to tip it is a very wearable 44.5mm. Note that the lug ends are drilled for easier bracelet to strap changes. The case back has a rendering of Long Island on it along with the Islander name, Island Watch and 200 meter water resistance.

Inside the case is an NH36, 24-jewel automatic movement with 21,600 vibrations per hour. This self-winding movement supports hand winding and hacks (seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown). Power reserve is about 41 hours fully wound. The NH36 also has both a day and date wheel viewed at 3:00 on the dial.

The orange dial has SuperLuminova on the hands and hour makers and the Island Watch logo is black under 12:00. The 120-click uni-directional bezel has a scratch-resistant black (diver marked) ceramic insert that is also treated with SuperLuminova for a maximum glow-in-the-dark experience when lights go out. It's bright and long lasting.

The dial has enhanced visibility due to the use of an anti-reflective flat sapphire crystal that also guards against scratches. The anti-reflective coating is on the underside of the sapphire and it imparts a bluish hue at some viewing angles.

Upgraded: The bracelet has solid links, and solid end links. Screws are now used for adjustments (instead of pins) for sizing the bracelet. It now also features a robust milled scissor push-button deployant clasp with three position micro-adjustment. Also, The crown is now signed with the Island Watch logo.

NOTE: The Islander dive and dual-time watch is compatible with aftermarket parts available at Island Watch (and elsewhere) for the SKX013 models, such as crystals, bezels, inserts, chapter rings, dials, hands, bracelets, etc.

I ordered this on a Saturday and had it on Monday. My second watch from here and customer service is the best of any online seller. I have wanted this exact watch for years. I have modded 013's for years but never was able to get everything I wanted. This has all the upgrades and is cheaper than modding. After two weeks the watch is gaining about 1 second a day. I'm totally neurotic about my watched and I would not change or complain about anything regarding the ISL-22. My only regret now is that the other version I want next sells out as fast as they make them. This is an amazing deal!!!

Amazing watch - forget the price

This is an amazing watch - well made, a solid movement and a Dreamsicle dial that makes me laugh every time I wear it. So far the accuracy is in the 15 seconds per week range - amazing for the price. Highly recommended!

I've been through them all. Started with an Omega, moved to Rolex. Seen Hamilton's, Breitling, TAG, you name it. Modern and vintage. And this is really the watch that I've enjoyed wearing the most. At $300 it's certainly not cheap, but in the world of watches it is inexpensive. But as far as value for money goes, this nails it. It's surprisingly accurate, incredibly rugged, perfectly sized for my small wrists. It's customisable and fun. I delayed purchasing but in hindsight I'm so glad I picked this up. I'll certainly be looking at a different colour too once they're back in stock(hopefully). If you're on the fence, I'd recommend it. It's fun and the true essence of what watch collecting is.

Great Watch

I ordered this watch soon after it was released in part on the advice of a friend who had recently purchased an Islander and had great things to sat about it. This is a great watch. Looks fantastic, solidly built, the lume is possibly the best I've ever seen. It feels like a far more expensive watch than it actually is, not just a "great value for the price," but a great watch regardless of price. I had been on the fence about an SKX and am glad to have waitied until the 38mm Islander became available, every frustration I've heard about for the SKX seems to have been resolved here. I've worn it nearly every day since it arrived and am loving it. There is a part of me that feels like watch reviews should really be written 3-12 months after buying a watch, but I wanted to endorse this product sooner rather than later.
