Islander 38mm Automatic Dual-Time Watch with Solid-Link Bracelet, AR Sapphire Crystal, and Luminous Sapphire Bezel Insert #ISL-51

The Islander ISL-51 has a very familiar 38mm case with an offset screw-down crown at 4:00. Thickness is 13mm and tip to tip it is a very wearable 44.5mm. The case back has a rendering of Long Island on it along with the Islander name, Island Watch and 200 meter water resistance. Note that the lug ends are drilled for easier bracelet to strap changes.

Inside the case is an NH36, 24-jewel automatic movement with 21,600 vibrations per hour. This self-winding movement supports hand winding and hacks (seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown). Power reserve is about 41 hours fully wound. The NH36 also has both a day and date wheel viewed at 3:00 on the dial.

The dark blue dial has SuperLuminova on the hands and hour makers and the Island Watch logo is luminous under 12:00. The 120-click uni-directional bezel has a scratch-resistant blue-red sapphire (dual-time) insert that is also treated with SuperLuminova for a maximum glow-in-the-dark experience when lights go out.

The dial has enhanced visibility due to the use of an anti-reflective flat sapphire crystal that also guards against scratches. The anti-reflective coating is on the underside of the sapphire and it imparts a bluish hue at some viewing angles.

The bracelet has solid links, and solid end links. Screws are used for adjustments (instead of pins) for sizing the bracelet. It also features a robust milled scissor push-button deployant clasp with three position micro-adjustment. The crown is signed with the Island Watch logo.
