Islander Automatic Dive Watch with Solid-Link Bracelet, AR Sapphire Crystal, Dual-Time Luminous Ceramic Bezel Insert #ISL-01

Island Watch would like to introduce you to the new Islander dive watch. You will immediately notice that is has a very familiar 43mm case with an offset screw-down crown at 4:00. Thickness is 14mm and tip to tip it is a very wearable 46mm (i.e. looks big, but doesn't wear big on your wrist). Note that the lug ends are drilled for easier bracelet to strap changes. The case back has a rendering of Long Island on it along with the Islander name, Island Watch and 200 meter water resistance.

Inside the case is an NH36, 24-jewel automatic movement with 21,600 vibrations per hour. This self-winding movement supports hand winding and hacks (seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown). Power reserve is about 41 hours fully wound. The NH36 also has both a day and date wheel viewed at 3:00 on the dial.

The BLACK dial has SuperLuminova on the hands and hour makers and the Island Watch logo is luminous under 12:00. The 120-click bezel has a scratch-resistant black (dual-time) ceramic insert that is also treated with SuperLuminova for a maximum glow-in-the-dark experience when lights go out. It is quite bright and long lasting.

The BLACK dial has enhanced visibility due to the use of an anti-reflective flat sapphire crystal that also guards against scratches. The anti-reflective coating is on the underside of the sapphire and it imparts a bluish hue at some viewing angles. (the dial is black.)

And, lastly you get a beefy bracelet with solid links, solid end links and a dual push-button flip lock deployant clasp with three position micro-adjustment. For sizing the bracelet, you will find screws are used for removing bracelet links instead of pins.

NOTE: The Islander dive and dual-time watch is compatible with aftermarket parts available at Island Watch (and elsewhere) for the SKX007 models, such as crystals, bezels, inserts, chapter rings, dials, hands, bracelets, etc.

Just arrived today… a late birthday gift from my wife and I love it! The glossy, ceramic bezel really gives this watch so much more pop than my SKX009 and SKX173. Fit and finish are excellent and it feels/looks great on my wrist. Well done, Long Island Watch!

Knocked it out of the park with the Islander. I’m very pleased with the looks and quality of this watch. From the sapphire crystal to the very good lume, this has tons of features for the price. I also ordered the new Islander rubber strap as I’m not a “bracelet guy” and it is a great fit and in my opinion makes the watch look even better

I purchased this watch from island watch refurbished. It is a beautiful piece and exceeded my expectations. I had one minor error with a link in the bracelet and the issue was resolved in the same day. Long Island Watch offers a phenomenal product for an amazing price, and their customer service is better than I could have ever expected. I can't recommend this enough. I can't wait to continue to build the collection. This is surely a piece to consider.

this watch moved right in the rotation, and turns out to be very durable, I have smacked it on several hard surfaces one I knew it was going to leave a mark. when I checked it wiped it down with a lens cloth and still in excellent condition. im very happy with the watch.

With lock downs and lack of usual routines during this past year, I was struggling to keep track of what day it was. Additionally, work hours being all over the place, I was losing track of the time in our European office. I had day date watches and I had GMT watches, but nothing that did it all. Then came Marc to the rescue with the Islander 01! I give this watch no quarter. Working at the computer, reaching into engine compartments, doing yardwork, hiking, camping, and even the occasional in person meeting are all handled with aplomb. With the sapphire glass and ceramic bezel insert protecting the whole top surface, the watch still looks new after months of abuse. It is my most worn watch. I had two concerns before buying 1. Blue tint on the sapphire - in all the pictures I saw, the watch had a blueish tint on the glass, but in person it's not there at all. It looks clear as can be and is very legible. 2. I have skin sensitivity to certain metals - I reached out to Marc about the materials in the watch. He answered right away with the details, and I'm happy to say that the watch and bracelet don't bother me at all. I cannot recommend this watch enough. It does it all.

This is a great looking watch! To be honest, I was hoping the bracelet was going to be a strapcode or something of similar quality, but still it's a great deal! Have already had two or three comments from people when I'm wearing it! Keep up the good work Marc!!
