Islander Automatic Dive Watch with Black Dial and Embossed Ceramic Bezel #ISL-04

The Islander ISL-04 is back, and this time it has design improvements. It has a very familiar 43mm case with an offset screw-down crown at 4:00. The thickness is 14mm and tip to tip it is a very wearable 46mm (i.e. looks big, but doesn't wear big on your wrist). The lug ends are drilled to make it easier to change bracelet out for a dive strap if needed. The case back has an embossed image of a lighthouse and the Islander logo.

Inside the case is an NH35, a 24-jewel automatic movement with 21,600 vibrations per hour. This self-winding movement supports hand winding and hacks (seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown). Power reserve is about 41 hours fully wound. The NH35 has both a date wheel viewed at 6:00 on the dial.

The black dial has Super-LumiNova on the MM style hands and hour makers and the Islander logo is done in applied silver. The 120-click uni-directional bezel has an embossed (diver marked) ceramic insert that matches up with the black dial. The dial has great visibility due to the use of a double domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal that also guards against scratches.

NOTE: The Islander ISL-04 watch is compatible with aftermarket parts available at Island Watch (and elsewhere) for the SKX007 (and 009) models, such as crystals, bezels, inserts, chapter rings, dials, hands, bracelets, etc.

I love it. Swapped out the NATO strap for a black CB10 rubber strap with the metal keeper and it looks even better. Very slight alignment issues on the chapter ring, bezel and hour markers but not enough to be concerned with, it's a matter of microns. I'm thrilled with this watch. It looks very striking and provides much more presence on the wrist than its price tag would suggest. Took about 11 days to arrive in Ireland. Very pleased.

This watch is the perfect replacement for my broken SKX 007. It's the SKX all grown up and refined; elegant in a way. It is spectacular in person. The combination of attributes makes it a very solid choice for those looking for something esthetically different and more appealing than the usual dive watches being offered today. I realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but this one spends little time off my wrist. The nylon strap looks good with it, but due to it's thickness, it raises the watch too far off the wrist for me. Looks and wears great on a thinner black nato. a black silicone, and the BRAC-06. The silver chapter ring is the clencher. Thank you Marc for offering this watch. It's a great partner for my ISL-18.

This watch is great! I have worn it exclusively for one month, and I can honestly say that it has not gained or lost one second. My only complaint would be that there was a slight dent on the back, but I did not even notice it until I took off the NATO strap for inspection. It has not affected the performance of the watch. Five stars!

Owned almost everything at this point. Omega, Breitling, Longines, Sinn, Seiko, Phoibos, Hamilton, just to name a few. This watch punches well above it's weight. The finishing, design, and quality of this watch are stellar. Everything the SKX should've been. Solid piece that'll stay in the collection. Thank you for the stellar service, Marc and LIW staff! Was already a lifetime customer, but you've just cemented that yet again!

I am completely blown away by this piece, I ordered an #ISL-64 for my wife’s Birthday Dec 2020, I was extremely impressed with it and so was my wife, my O4 is superb it’s currently running at -4 seconds a day, it looks even better on the bracelet Brac-06 I will definitely be ordering again.

I purchased the Islander Automatic Dive Watch and she is more beautiful than I imagined. The pics on the web don't do it justice. What drew me to this watch over those offered by other retailers is the ceramic bezel. She performs as good as she looks. Thank you Long Island Watch Co!

Great watch! The matte black yacht-master style bezel is pretty awesome. My only minor gripe is the nato strap is pretty stiff which I'm assuming is gonna take a little time to wear in, but that's all part of the experience. Thanks!
