This is my 4th LIW and my favorite yet. All have excellent build quality, look great, and are beautiful. This color combination is great. I love the touch of yellow and the case shape. Shipping was super fast. Always an easy transaction with Marc. To date, I have bought 5 watches from Marc and numerous straps and mod parts. This is my go to shop.

What initially caught my eye about this watch was the freshness of its design. Whilst the handset in particular could be said to be 'reminiscent' of (i.e. lifted from!) the Seiko MAS62, the rest of the watch is individual and not just another boring 'homage' to tried and tested old designs. I realise there's only so much you can do with a reasonably-priced dive-style watch, but I think Islander have scored a home run with this one. The specifications are more than adequate at the price point, and on the wrist the watch looks great and runs well (within a few seconds per day). The build and finishing quality is excellent too. As a footnote I must mention Marc's outstanding customer service. By some unfortunate accident, I managed to lose the bezel lume pip somehow. I emailed Marc about this, and he promptly emailed back offering to supply a couple of replacement pips at no cost. Furthermore, because I live in Australia and normal post is pretty slow these days, he said he would send them by FedEx, again at no cost to me. He even offered to reimburse the cost of having a watchmaker instal the pip - which turned out to be unnecessary as I glued it in myself. I can't think of any other watch seller who would go this far (and this quickly) in helping a customer. Because of service like this, plus the value for money of the products, I would have no qualms in buying from Island Watch again.

My first Islander and really impressed by the overall quality except for the clasp - there were some sharp edges around the clasp itself. I switched it out with a standard Seiko stamped clasp. Now it is perfect. Case, dial and bracelet are good and well made.

The use of the accent color was amazing, and the yellow on the silver chapter ring was perfect. I never would have expected this color combo to be something I liked this much. It also has all the good stuff you expect from an Islander, sapphire crystal, solid end links, lumed ceramic bezel, drilled lug holes, screw down crown, and a quality milled clasp.

This watch is the ideal size and very good quality at this price point. The dial is eye-catching and draws in light with the sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Well done

This is my 2nd review of this watch b/c I decided to wear it none stop since I received it and I couldn’t resist letting everyone know that, boy oh boy is that bracelet comfortable! Marc makes it easy for us to come back time and time again (I’m on my 6th Islander). This one is a charm to wear, legibility is great, the crown is so easy to handle and doesn’t dig in as much as the previous generation, the texture on that dial as well as the color scheme makes me smile every time I look at it, which is many, many times a day :-) The price for this quality watch is simply incomparable … or close to incomparable to other brand watches (maybe a Phoibos comes close to this, but barely). Once again, I’m floored by the ceramic bezel tying in so well with the flat sapphire b/c when the light hits both of them, it’s just a superbe light show right on your wrist. Go ahead, I dare you to press the “Order Now” button! :-)

This is my first Islander branded watch, but not the first watch I've bough from LIW, and as always - the service provided by Marc (and LIW) is unparalleled! I'm not sure why anyone would buy a watch that LIW also sells, from anywhere else, their service is that good! LIW hit it outta the ball-park with their recent series of waffle watches (ISL-88, 89 and 90) but this one in particular caught my eye, and it just looks amazing, in pictures, but even more so on the wrist! Along with the awesome colour combination, the 3 position over-sized crown with lack of crown guards, and Marc's sneaky bracelet design, make the ISL-89 standout above most other SKX inspired watches I’ve bought, and sold. I was expecting the bracelet to be exactly the same as the Strapcode's I purchased from LIW along with my SKX's, but that wouldn't be good enough for Marc... He sneakingly improved the male end links on this (and I assume all LIW) bracelets, by perhaps making them a little beefier and sloped downwards a touch more - resulting in the most comfortable fitting bracelet this 6.25” wrist’d reviewer has ever experienced on an SKX type watch. I did reach out to Marc letting him know that on the ISL-89 I received; the 4 to 11 hour indices didn’t line up perfectly with the chapter ring, and the date wheel or window alignment/position isn’t perfect also. He quickly offered to send out a replacement. but I declined because when you consider the price-point, service and value added when buying from LIW - this watch really is perfect!

I just received this Islander, and WOW! This is even better looking in person than the pictures and videos! The quality is outstanding!

I just received this ISL-89 (Sept 2, 2021) and I must say that the design is even much cleaner and sleek when you see it "live". That's on top of the highly polished ceramic bezel which ties in well with the flat sapphire crystal ... and that lume!! What draw me to this watch initially were 1 - the "pancaky" and oversized screw-down crown which, in this "new" configuration is really easy to handle and makes the watch easy to adjust and 2 - the silver chapter ring makes the dial pop out even more. Maybe one last thing; I really love the logo but also love the fact that the word "Islander" is spelled out at the 6 o'clock position in a different color which matches the color of the second hand. Bravo! Great work.
