Islander Automatic Dive Watch with AR Dome Sapphire Crystal, "Batman" Dual-Time Luminous Ceramic Bezel Insert #ISL-74

The ISL-74 is a dual-time dive watch. It has a "Batman-style" sloped blue-black ceramic bezel with luminous markings that allows you to track two 12 hour time zones. It has a very familiar 43mm case with an offset screw-down crown at 4:00. Thickness is 14mm and tip to tip it is a very wearable 46mm. Note that the lug ends are drilled for easier bracelet to strap changes. The case back has a rendering of Long Island on it along with the Islander name, Island Watch and 200 meter water resistance.

Powering the watch is an NH36, 24-jewel automatic movement with 21,600 vibrations per hour. This self-winding movement supports hand winding and hacks (seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown). Power reserve is about 41 hours fully wound. The NH36 also has both a day and date wheel viewed at 3:00 on the dial.

The black dial has SuperLuminova on the hands and hour makers and the Island Watch applied logo is under 12:00. The dial has enhanced visibility due to the use of an anti-reflective dome sapphire crystal that also guards against scratches.

The bracelet has solid links, solid end links and a dual push-button six position fully milled deployant clasp with micro-adjustments. For sizing the bracelet, you will find screws are used for removing bracelet links instead of pins.

    I have been very pleased with my islander watch. Solid construction and accurate time. I have not had a timepiece on my wrist for a long time and it was great finding such a quality watch.

    This watch is one of the best buys on the market, hands down. The value here for the price exceeded my expectations, The ceramic bezel is flawless and the appearance is very clean and bright through the gently domed sapphire crystal. I posses far more expensive time pieces, and this inexpensive, upgraded classic is certainly not a step-down in either looks or how well the appointments are carefully executed. There is great attention to detail in this well thought-out and tastefully executed watch. The Jubilee band is also worth mentioning as very well designed and substantial... a big step-up from the regular Seiko offering, So tasteful... Kudos Islander!!!

    This is a beautiful, well designed & crafted Batman watch. Each little detail is brilliant. It’s really solid in its build, feels more like an expensive luxury watch. The lume is unbelievable.

    I love the colors on this watch. The second and Automatic text both blue really makes it stand out. The gloss dial is beautiful. If you're looking for a batman dual time I highly recommend this watch.

    One can call this watch a “Seiko SKX007 on steroids!” If you like the SKX 007, you’re going to love this watch. The same case with the same movement but that’s where the similarities end. Ceramic bezel with a useful 2nd time zone. And yes, the bezel lines up much more accurately! Really nice Jubilee bracelet, far superior to the Seiko at this price range. Excellent quality build on the bracelet. Nice range of micro adjustments. Bracelet actually has screwed links which makes adjustment a snap (and Marc even throws in a jeweler’s screwdriver). Not to mention a sapphire crystal versus the mineral crystal in the SKX. For those of you that never picked up a now discontinued SKX007, this watch nicely feels that void. Nice job, Marc!

    PLEASE BEWARE! Mark uses sneaky tactics (like offering high-quality, unique time pieces at affordable prices) just to get you to come back and buy from him again and again. Thankfully, I'm aware of his tactics, and am working to try and limit myself. But THIS watch might just provide too much enticement. PLEASE, Mark. Raise your prices to ridiculous levels like others do before it's too late for me... (Absolutely stunning watch, BTW ;) )
