To begin with, the service I received from Ryan & Marc was immediate & first rate every time. Absolutely no room for improvement. This is the very best watch you can buy anywhere for the money. It's easily on par with my Tag Heuer & Omega. Sure those brands have standing around the globe & for good reason but this ISL08 sits alongside them for a fraction of the cost. No, it's not a Patek, Hublot, Rolex, Blancpain etc etc but it's not attempting to be in that world. As an everyday wearer for the majority of people it's exactly what it's meant to be. The finish & fit are perfect. Somebody mentioned above the hands aren't the same color as the hour markers & this is true. I had serious concern for this as I'm a stickler (aka: PIA) but to be honest it 100% works as the hands with the black surround blends perfectly with the black bezel which for some bizarre reason makes it work even though the hour markers are different. The solid link bracelet & clasp are perfect & comfortable to wear. The solid end links fit the case perfectly. I also purchased & fitted the ratchet 03 clasp. I did this because I live in a hot climate & my wrists swell & contract all the time & the 03 clasp is perfect for this. Having said that, the clasp that comes with the watch is solid & fantastic & doesn't need upgrading. The yellow color, in person, is impossible to properly describe but it looks great & not cheap in any way. The photo on this site DOES NOT represent the yellow regarding its quality look. All in all it's the best $299 I have ever spent on a watch. I feel I robbed these guys for what I received. Yes, I'm serious! Yes, my review looks like I'm a shill as I'm gushing about it. The watch exceeded my every expectation I had & then some. If it cost 3 times as much you're still getting a great deal. Buy with total confidence as the product is everything as advertised & Island watches are a solid business. What are you waiting for!

I really love this watch. As other reviewer's have said, the yellow color is very unique in person. It almost has a metallic undertone to it that makes it change hue in varying light. The lume is astonishing on this reference with the ceramic insert, combined with the dial it is a real star at night. Bezel click is very satisfying and lines up great. Nice upgraded movement and sapphire for the price point. Very surprised with the quality of the bracelet, I honestly prefer it to my strapcode J-style on another watch. All in all this is a knockout watch, and for the price point it's unbelievable. Finally, great customer service through and through.

Especially concidering the price/value, this is a 5 Star Product. The barely metallic yellow dial is incredible. It is not a sunburst nor a shiny metallic but almost a powdercoat micro-flake metallic giving a slightly iridescent depth but still yeilds a tremendous full-on true yellow. The fit and finish of the hardware is better than OEM. Really great yellow watch for the money. Buy it. Enjoy it. Customer service during and post sale was excellent. Immediate shipping. For non-fastidious or non-obsessive buyers, this is a no-brainer, stop reading now. ----Highly Recommend For the fastidious and obsessive types, a few notes. While an excellently priced ready-to-go mod, the watch comes lacking in a few minor ways. First, the hands do not match the indices under most lighting conditions. The indices are stark-white while the in-fill on the hands are a bit green. Combined with the choice for a black handset, the hands seem to be dim relative to the rest of the very wonderfully bright "pop" of the dial. It is a minor difference but present nonetheless. The lume performance is okay. Lume glow colors match perfectly but the dial fades quickly. The bracelet is above average; good fit and finish. However, I would have preferred the seemingly more refined "3D" endlink design seen on current strapcode/miltat oysters.

I saw Marc review this watch on his YouTube channel and put it on my wish list. This is my 1st purchase from Long Island Watch and my 1st Islander and I absolutely love the watch. The yellow dial really pops and is really super legible. Keeps good time and the SuperLuminova is great. Really glad I went with the 43mm vs the 38mm for my 7 1/2inch wrist. The only issue I had was removing one of the screws on the bracelet to resize. It had a slight bend in it. Probably during manufacturing. Otherwise....no complaints and would highly recommend. I'll probably purchase another with a different dial color. You get a lot for your money on the Islander watches. Great quality.

First Island watch purchase and couldn’t be more pleased. The color is great, nice clean yellow, keeps time and is a solid build.
