This is the Islander ISL-82 classic field watch design with a black dial. The dial has a 12-hour scale and a smaller 24-hour scale for military time. The hour and minute hands are filled with SuperLuminova as are the 12-hour numbers and markers around the dial. You will note that the dial has excellent visibility due to the use of an anti-reflective sapphire crystal that also guards against scratches. The black DLC stainless steel case is a very wearable 39mm in diameter and it is 12mm thick. Lug to lug (or tip to tip) measurement is 48.5mm. The crown is a signed screw-down type that enables a better water resistance rating of 100-meters.

Inside the case is an NH35, 24-jewel automatic movement with 21,600 vibrations per hour. The date mechanics of the movement have been removed. This self-winding movement supports hand winding and hacks (seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown). Power reserve is about 41 hours fully wound. You can view the movement via an exhibition-window (screw-down) caseback.

This model comes with a black leather strap with leather backing and a signed DLC stainless steel buckle. The strap comes with quick-release pins so you can change up the look with another strap without the need for any special tools. Just use your index finger. Watch weight is 70 grams. NOTE: We have updated this model June 2023 to have a more pronounced fluorescent yellow seconds hand and matching dial text. Photos have been updated.

    $200 for this thing? Are you friggin' kidding me? If they hadn't sold out so fast, I was going to buy two more as gifts. 4R36, sapphire crystal, decent C3 lume, DLC case, screw down crown, display back... insane. Swapped the strap for a NATO, and I've been rocking it for 3 days straight now. Oh wait, they're back in stock. Time to buy two more.

    Tough, attractive watch, simple layout, easy to read, keeps good time, good lume. An excellent value for the price. Would give it 5 starts if the stock band were better -- I will probably swap it out for something without the faux mesh look.

    Robust and well regulated. I swapped out my band for silicone strap and this is my daily swimmer. Timegrapher shows it to be +2 sec/day in the faceup position -- very happy with that performance from a stock NH-35 movement. Durable, accurate, and useful in a swimming pool. What more could you ask for at this price?

    I really like this watch. I saw it presented by the company on their YouTube channel and ordered one before the video was over. I quite like field style watches. I quite like dark colored watches. And I really like durable watches. Further most watches that aren’t dress watches are huge 42mm things that look funny on my arms. So this hit all the right buttons for me. And so far it’s been keeping good time.

    This is my first Islander watch and it does not disappoint. Simple, sturdy, and easy to read. Iʻll be looking for a better fitting band because my wrists run big. I dont count that against this watch because thats very common for me. Im able to wear this with the band that it cane with though. Snug but comfortable.

    I have an addiction to field watches…. I’m in love with this new one. Perfect features, nice and clean with no date, 24h markers all around, and that beautiful yellow second hand. Love, love, love this watch. 100% recommend.
