Islander Southold 42mm Automatic Dive Watch with Grey Dial #ISL-118

When we set out designing the Islander Southold, we aimed to create a 42mm watch with its own identity. A watch you can wear lounging around the house, the pool or the beach. Named after a small hamlet on Long Island's east end, settled in 1640, the Southold aims to create its own identity.

The Southold is a bold 42mm case, that measures 15mm thick to the crest of the double domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The lug tip to lug tip is 49mm, putting it right in the same range as similar divers, but the Southold has a negative endlink bracelet, that makes it super comfortable to wear on a variety of wrists. Powered by a handwinding and hacking Seiko NH35 movement, you can expect a power reserve of 40 hours between wearings/windings. To time your activities, the watch has a 120 click uni-directional ratcheting bezel, complete with a ceramic luminous insert.

The bracelet lug is 22mm and tapers to 18mm at the 3-position microadjust fliplock deployant clasp. Sizing is a breeze thanks to links sized with screws. The endlinks are solid, providing a firm attachment point to stand up to your outdoor activities. Water resistance is 200 meters, thanks to the screwdown crown and an embossed screwdown caseback.

The dial is sunburst grey, with applied markers. The hands are contrasting white with Super-LumiNova C3 that glows green. The date window color matches the dial, which is a small detail that enhances the overall dial look.
