Marathon Swiss Made, GSAR Automatic Military Divers Watch with Sapphire Crystal #WW194006BK-NGM

The Marathon Divers Automatic WW194006BK-NGM is a dive watch built to ISO 6425 standards. The NGM in the model number = No Government Markings on the dial.

This is Marathon’s new Anthracite Black Search & Rescue Diver’s Automatic wrist watch. The sleek matte Anthracite IP coating on the watch case, bezel and crown elevates the watch’s refinement and provides superior scratch resistance. The Anthracite IP coating is 3 times harder than stainless steel.

This Diver’s watch is water resistant down to 30 ATM – 300 meters (1000 feet) underwater. The watch case is built with 316L surgical grade stainless steel that has an incredibly durable anthracite color IP coating. It’s a high quality, purpose built watch that will reliably accompany you on any adventure you may embark on. The scratch resistant sapphire glass crystal ensures that the dial can be read even under direct sunlight, or deep underwater. Inside is a Swiss made, Marathon M2, 26 jewel Sellita SW200 automatic movement, that gives you a reliable and accurate timekeeping experience.

Tritium gas filled tubes provide the illumination sources to ensure constant visibility of the time in low light situations. Glass tubes are placed by hand on each hour marker and on each hand. Tritium tubes are self-illuminating gas tubes which contain an isotope of hydrogen, meaning they will not dull down in brightness like normal photo-luminescent paint which requires an external light source to create a glow. The 12 hour bezel marker is made of MaraGlo which needs to be charged by light to glow.

The watch comes with vulcanized black rubber strap with an IP coated 316L stainless steel buckle.
Manufactured in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland. This watch combines military toughness with Swiss craftsmanship in a watch that will get the job done and look great doing it.

Love this watch. I bought it as a college graduation gift to myself, and I have fell in love with it. I love the simplicity of it, and just by how everything feels you can tell it’s high quality. Great buying experience as well!

    Excellent Watch and Purchasing Experience

Posted by Zachary on Apr 6th 2021

Marc has excellent service. I would strongly recommend buying from Long Island Watch. You will also know that you are getting a fair price from an Authorized Dealer, not something shady on the grey market. I have not written a review for a product in a long time, but I am so impressed with Marathon and Long Island Watch that I feel I should share my thoughts. I first saw this watch on The Long Island Watch Youtube channel, and I have wanted to purchase it for a long time. The legibility of this watch is excellent, even at night. The tritium markers on the dial and hands are very bright. It is very nice to be able to read the time at night without pushing a button, worrying about lume being charged, or picking up a bright phone. The markers are placed on the dial perfectly and the printing is excellent. As far as I can see with the naked eye, there are no flaws on the dial. The bezel action is very satisfying. It lines up perfectly and there is absolutely no play from side to side. This is the best bezel I have ever used, something I would have expected in a far more expensive luxury brand watch. The black finishing looks like it was applied perfectly. I don't see any flaws on the case, bezel, or crown. I expect it will hold up well, and I plan on using this watch while working outside. The movement winds very smoothly, and it is easy to stop the second hand at 12 and set the minute hand to line up with a marker. The date window shifts just a little after 11:30 and then instantly changes at about 12:02 on my copy. This is the first watch I have seen with an instant date change and it is very cool. The crown is also very solid, even when pulled all the way out. Right now the accuracy of the watch is just outside COSC chronometer standards, at about -5 seconds a day. This is very impressive on a non-COSC certified watch. I like my watch to be accurate, and I have enjoyed setting it about every other day. If you're not as particular as me, you can definitely let this watch run for a long time and not worry about accuracy. The rubber band is very comfortable and the keepers don't slide off. The band does smell like vanilla out of the box, and it still does. I'm not sure how long it will last, but it is something interesting and unique Marathon does with their rubber straps. The watch wears smaller than I would have expected. It is very comfortable and light weight on the rubber. I can't find anything wrong with this watch. If you like this style, I would highly recommend it. Thank you for the great customer service, Marc!
