The NTH Tropics collection of watches (Antilles and Azores models) were inspired by the compressor-case diving watches which proliferated from the late '50's to mid '70's - marvels of engineering which established an iconic design language. Like what was done with the NTH Subs, NTH wanted to recreate - and update - the simple, timeless elegance.

Each Tropics model shares the same dual-crown, cylindrical case with straight lugs, raised and double-domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and a deeply-engraved case-featuring a diving bell in high relief.
 
NTH gave the Tropics 200 meters water resistance, a luminous internal bezel, faceted lugs, a combination brushed/polished case and an accurate, high-beat Miyota 90S5 automatic movement. Then NTH kicked it up a notch with deeply-textured dials, applied indices, and a vintage-style, fully-articulated 5-link bracelet with double-locking diver's clasp. They have even included in a classic, "tropic-style" rubber strap, to complete the vintage look.

The Tropics combine the capabilities of a diving watch with the more discreet profile of a modern dress watch, making it a good companion for the modern sporting enthusiast. Case size is 40mm in diameter by 11.5mm thick. Lug width is 20mm. Crystal is a double-dome anti-reflective sapphire. Bi-directional inner bezel which can be used to track a second time zone.
