    Phoibos Proteus a winner!

Posted by Bill Bates on Apr 3rd 2021

Have been interested in Phoibos watches thanks to reviews by Marc @LIW and other YouTube reviews. Glad I took the plunge with this model. Love the "weathered" treatment of the stainless steel case and case back, and the uniqueness of the meteorite dial. Overall, a very good looking and well made watch. I'll definitely be in the market for another Phoibos if this watch is any indication of the quality and value of their products. Another great reco from Marc! Definitely recommend!

a fun, quirky and very well priced dive watch

Posted by andrei caragea on Mar 21st 2021

Bought this for my father as a birthday gift after owning the brown dial Voyager from Phoibos for a bit over 6 months now. The watch arrived in Germany via FedEx express 3 days after placing the order, so very impressed with the logistics of Marc's shop. I guess the simplest way to describe Phoibos watches is really top notch value for money (in terms of specifications, components and materials used and finishing) if you are looking at something a bit unusual in terms of styling. Keep up the good work, Marc!

    Affordable and well-built diver

Posted by Marko K. on Feb 12th 2021

This is a dive watch that doesn't look like every other dive watch out there, and it's one of the most affordable meteorite dials out there. The case is hefty without being a boat anchor on the wrist, and the aged patina is unique. The crystal is slightly domed and has a magnifying effect without being distorting. The leather strap is the best I've had on any watch--thick but soft and comfortable to wear, and the distressed leather look goes well with the watch body even if it's a little weird for a diver to be on leather. (They do give you a rubber strap in the box as well, but you have to swap the buckle.) Negatives: the date window is too small, and in certain light conditions, it can be a little hard to tell the hour and minute hands apart because both their tips overlap with the "tooth" hour markers on the dial and sort of flow into them when they are lined up directly. But overall, this is a good-looking diver with great build quality, and it's a good value for the money.

    Fantastic Watch

I love this watch. Very heavy solid watch, and after a couple of weeks it's still running about +/- 1 second.
