Seiko Prospex 23-Jewel, Automatic with Rotating Slide Rule Bezel #SRPB57J1

Bought this watch discounted from the Scratch & Dent section. I was a little hesitant at first but Marc was able to answer all of my questions. I don't think I've ever had this much contact with an online seller ever! Overall great watch.

Marc(Mark?) was very helpful in the purchase process. The delivery was quite a headache as i had it shipped to India. Great Quality, will be buying more from Long Island. The watch is underrated though. Slide rule with a Breitling/Oris Pro Pilot esque dial. Shame it's out of stock as I enter this review

Mechanical watch is holding net gain of 3 seconds a day over past week. Good accuracy. The lumibright lume on the hands and numbers is awesome. The rotary slide rule has been useful for quick calculations. Yes it works, is handy, and fast. More discrete than running a calculator app. Prompt on-time delivery, rational price, excellent watch.

If you love a Navitimer, you will love this watch. The textured back dial is perfection. Add the fact that it came from Island Watch, now it’s unbeatable! The 44mm size fits my 7 1/4 inch wrist perfectly.

This watch is just what I was looking for. It has a large clean face with easily legible Arabic numerals and a slide rule bezel. The Arabic numerals have lovely Lume which lasts at least 6 hours. Sadly for me, the numbers on the bezel are too small to be truely useful for their intended purpose (flight planning) at least with my eyesight, but it will still be useful to remind me of my favourite hobby, and it looks really cool. Marc answered questions about availability and shipping prior to postage and the watch was posted very quickly. Unfortunately it had a week long sojourn in Jamaica, which delayed its arrival, but that is a postal service issue and not a vendor issue. Thanks for your great service, product availability and prices.

Perfect slide-rule bezel watch for an old-school engineer like myself. The dial is a marvel of design. The large arabic numerals are deep wells of lume, outlined in polished steel. By night, they light up like a christmas tree. By day, they are even more amazing. The steel outline of the numerals gives an interesting optical illusion: from most angles, it doesn't look like the numbers are filled with lume at all--it looks like they are just solid, polished steel. This looks very handsome next to the steel "Seiko" logo at 12. And the slide rule!! The bezel turns smoothly. It is sticky enough to stay put when you want to read off the results, but not too sticky to make it hard to use. Its as close to perfect as you are going to get on a watch which costs less than $5,000.00. Altogether, very, very happy with this watch, and with the quick delivery.
