Seiko Automatic Dive Watch with Stainless Steel Bracelet #SKX007K2

Perfect vacation watch. Looks good on all kinds of straps. Swam in the ocean, in pools, wore it to dinner... this can pretty much do it all, maybe not black tie events but it works dressed up. Bracelet is chintzy, but I like it; it's comfy and I actually like the look of it.

This is the third Seiko SKX diver I've owned over the past 8 years, and it's the highest-quality one. The serial number indicates it was made in September 2018. It's running +1 second/day, and the crown action is silky smooth, not gritty. I replaced the bracelet with a black/grey NATO strap because I prefer the strap for hot, sticky, sweaty weather and aquatic activities. The bracelet may go back on after Labor Day. If you need the functionality of a dive watch--great water resistance, great lume, and an elapsed-time timer, it's hard to justify spending any more money than this. On a value per dollar basis, Seiko may have never surpassed the SKX diver.

Recently purchased a skx007 from long island watch. An absolute great experience for me. Will be buying from them in the future for sure.

I bought skx from amazon and it had a misaligned chapter ring and i returned it. I asked longisland watch guys to make sure the chapter ring is aligned before sending it and when i received the watch it was spot on. I was extremely pleased.

This watch feels very solid, and worth every penny. The customer service from Mark was super good and my bezel isn't grotesquely unaligned like some of them supposedly can be. This would be a phenomenal watch if you're just getting into collection or if you're a seasoned watch collector.

Great watch in spite of the well known qc issues. Mine has the chapter ring that shifts slightly when shaken. I had initially wanted to return it, to which Marc at LIW was helpful in facilitating, but have decided to keep it since it is not that big of a deal. One thing that does irk me, is that it loses 30ish seconds per day when worn (less when rested crown up at night). But I plan to swap out the movement for the seiko hacking/handwinding version at some point.

Very happy with the order watch showed up within the time the shipping order said it would. The staff was very nice to deal with and the watch is in very nice shape. Only problem was the chapter ring is not aligned but that’s expected with these watches.
