I really like the SKX007 that I purchased from Marc at LIW. The bezel and chapter ring line up great and after about 3 weeks the time has settled down to about +10/15 secs a day. I read review after review on the SKX007/009 vs the SKX013 and was really torn about which watch would look best on my wrist, but I'm glad I got the larger 007 vs the 013. The dial is deep and beautiful with fantastic LumiBrite on the dial and it is just a treat to look at. The Jubilee bracelet is kind of jangly, but is very comfortable and fits great after removing 2 links. I guess my only wish for this watch would be hand winding and a sapphire crystal. The hand winding I can live without and if the crystal gets scratched I'll buy a press and put on a sapphire crystal. I was also torn between the Orient RayII but in the end the classic SKX won me over. I also feel confident if I have any issues that Long Island Watch will promptly address them and my future watch purchases will also come from LIW.

I'm extremely happy with this watch and would gladly give it five stars, as it was exactly advertised. Unfortunately, that included the side effects of a mass produced watch: low quality control. The chapter ring is slightly out of alignment. I was hoping, based on rave reviews, that Island Watch would catch this, but maybe asking too much. I'll take it and get it better aligned when I have a chance.

Obviously, this depends on how large of a watch you are comfortable wearing. Me, male, 6'2", 170 pounds, 6-1/4 inch wrist. I've worn an SKX-013 (when my wife wasn't wearing it). It certainly "fit" me. But it just didn't have that iconic SKX "look" that I wanted. So I bought the 007 for myself, and I could not be happier with it. As far as the "look" goes, the major difference between the two is that the lugs on the 013 are longer, compared to the size of the dial. This gives the 007/009 a "chunkier" look. I'm also a fan of the stock bracelet.

Everything about the purchase was fantastic. The ease of use of the site, the quickness of the delivery, and the quality of the packing and product.
