Seiko SKX009 Divers Automatic Watch Strapcode Super-J "Louis" Edition Custom Mod #SKX009

The Seiko SKX009 Diver’s Watch is an all-time most popular automatic wristwatch. The cleanly styled blue dial is fitted with a day/date window which is clearly viewed through Seiko’s Hardlex synthetic mineral crystal. The SEIKO SKX009 dive watch features Seiko's well proven 7S26 automatic (self-winding) movement with a day and date display. The SKX009 also has highly luminous lumibrite treated hands and markers, a large screw down offset crown, scratch resistant hardlex crystal, a solid etched, screw-down case back and a red-blue diver marked uni-directional rotating bezel.

This SKX009 Seiko scuba diver watch has been modded with a Strapcode Super-J "Louis" Bracelet as a replacement to the standard OEM Seiko Jubilee bracelet. The strapcode Super J "Louis" bracelet mod features solid stainless steel links, solid end links, fine finishing, and a more robust deployant clasp.

Great Watch and Service

No alignment issues. Pending how active I am (or if I just did the "Seiko Shuffle"), the accuracy of the movement is +/- 3 to 4 seconds a day. The Super Jubilee (combined with the watch) is hefty....yet comfortable and reassuringly secure on my wrist. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. On a side note: I have a rather large wrist (nearly 8 inches). As I don't like my bracelets tight, plus I needed some additional slack for the heat and humidity of the upcoming summer season, Marc was able to provide an additional link so that I could get that "right" fit, and can micro-adjust as needed. Thank you, Marc, for that...and for answering my emails and then sending out such a great time piece. Now, I'm in the market for either the SKX007 on a Super Oyster, or the Gilded Samurai, so I can rotate between them. I have a feeling that it will be happening sooner than later. 11/19/19: With the return of the SNJ025 "Arnie", my money went there.

Good style and feel

I had my eye on a "pepsi" diver for a while and finally decided to grab the SKX009. The watch itself is pretty smart and I'm happy with the look and feel. I haven't had a lot of wear time with it, so it's too early to tell about the accuracy, but I expect it to be just as reliable as my other Seikos. As for the Strapcode Super Jubilee upgrade, I'm not really sure where I stand there. I hadn't tried the Seiko original band, so I don't have a great reference. I don't find the Strapcode band to be anything extraordinary, but that being said, it seems solid.

My first real dive watch. The watch makes me look like I know what Iâ€™m doing. I hope the dive lessons help. Watch is very nice, great polish on case and extremely readable.

My current favorite in my collection. The strap really makes this watch shine. I'm tempted to get the SKX007 with the strapcode watch.
