Seiko Military Gun Metal Plated Automatic Watch with 42mm Case #SNZG17K1

The military style Seiko SNZG17K1 comes with a 42mm gun metal plated stainless steel case with a matching gun metal plated bracelet. The black dial sports luminous hands and luminous markers next to the luminous Arabic numerals. A day of the week and date display is shown at the 3 o'clock position. The watch is powered by a Seiko caliber 7s36, 23-jewel automatic, self-winding movement. A scratch resistant Hardlex crystal is used along with an exhibition back that allows you to view the movement in action. Water resistant 100 meters.

Good, but could be better

Overall a nice watch and a good value. The lume is good, better than my Orient Mako. I really like the gunmetal color, it is a bit lighter than it appears in the photo. It does have a couple drawbacks though. It does not hand wind and does not hack the second hand. One other issue is that the reserve seems very poor. It often does not make it a full 12hrs after taking it off. It could be that I am just not active enough. Hand wind would help with this.

I'm generally pleased with the buying experience, although I was unaware of the in-store warranty situation at the time. The watch itself looks great to me, but I'm a little disappointed in the accuracy. It loses a minute in 4-5 days. And since I was used to a Seiko Titanium, this is heavier and takes getting used to, then fine.

I got this watch as my first automatic and couldnâ€™t be happier! The simple black dial in the gunmetal case is great! The lume is much better than I expected. This watch is impressive for the price and is backed by unparalleled customer service by Marc himself! Too bad there is a 5 star limit..

This is my 1st seiko watch. I like the glowing hands, numbers and marks. easy to see day or night. I really like the metal band because it will not stick to my skin as much as leather. Simply a great watch.
