This Seiko SRP777-DD Turtle automatic dive watch that has been nicknamed Long Island Sea Turtle due to its double-domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The watch has been professionally modified with the double-domed AR crystal. Sapphire not only resists scratches, but it also provides a sharper view of the dial and hands. And, it helps keeps the watch looking new over time. There is a bluish hue when viewing the domed crystal at some angles due to the anti-reflective coating used. It is 4.6mm thick. Also, because the crystal has a domed top and a domed bottom, it does not have a magnification effect.

This Seiko Long Island Sea Turtle features a Seiko 24 jewel automatic (4R36) movement, a date display, highly luminous hands and markers treated with Lumibrite for awesome low light visibility, a screw down offset crown, a uni-directional diving bezel with luminous PIP at 12:00, and a solid etched, screw-down case back. The 4R36 Seiko movement is self-winding, but it can be hand wound. 200 meter water resistance. The watch comes on a black silicone rubber dive strap. 45mm diameter case.

Note: Water Resistance - the Seiko SRP777 is an ISO 6425 diver rated to 200M water resistance. Changing the crystal can affect the water resistance of the watch. After modification, every watch has been tested to 100 feet of water resistance, the Swiss standard for water resistance. Additionally, one watch from every batch modified has been tested to 330 feet of water resistance. Island Watch guarantees water resistance during regular recreational use, but is not recommended for scuba diving.
