Seiko Save the Ocean Prospex Samurai Automatic Dive Watch with Stainless Steel Bracelet #SRPD23

This is a new Seiko automatic dive watch that is nicknamed the Great White Shark Samurai. This Seiko SRPD23 Samurai model is part of the new Save the Ocean collection. Part of the proceeds from the sale of this collection will be donated to the non-profit Fabien Cousteau Ocean Learning Center that raises awareness of ways to preserve and protect the planets waters and endangered marine life. It has a distinctive graduated blue dial with a texture that resembles the surface of water. This is offset with blue bezel that has a grey hue that defines the first 15 minutes. The bezel insert also has some fine grooves (hard to see in images) that give this Samurai watch a unique and very distinctive look.

It features a Seiko 23 jewel automatic (4R35) movement, a date display, highly luminous hands and markers treated with Lumibrite for awesome low light visibility, a screw down offset crown, a uni-directional diving bezel with luminous PIP at 12:00, Hardlex mineral crystal and a solid etched, screw-down case back. The 4R35 Seiko movement is self-winding and it can be hand wound and hacked. The movement has a 41 hour power reserve.

The watch comes with a Seiko stainless steel bracelet with a deployant clasp and diver's extension. The hands are a new style patterned after the hands found on the Seiko Monster series of watches. It includes manual and a Seiko box.

Great watch at a good price. Exactly as described and pictured. Arrived well packaged. The one question I had about shipping was answered promptly. The Youtube videos posted by Marc were most helpful when I sized the bracelet. Recommended with thanks.

I had been eyeing this watch for a while now and after getting a 5% discount by simply signing up for Marc's email list I knew it was time to buy before this absolutely stunning watch was no longer available. The Blue dial is absolutely beautiful under most any light source, really stands out under natural sunlight. The fit and finish are spot on without any of the dreaded Seiko chapter ring misalignment and the bezel action is smooth and lines up perfectly. If you were like me, and you've been thinking about getting this watch, do it soon before they become difficult to find at a reasonable price.

My new everyday watch. Love the dial markers and hands but the real killer is the blue wave dial. Looks incredible in the sunlight
