Seiko 5 Sports 24-Jewel Automatic Watch with Black Dial and Black PVD Case #SRPD81

This is a new Seiko automatic 5 Sports watch that features a Seiko 24 jewel automatic (self-winding, hand wind, hacks) movement. The black dial has a day and date display at 3:00, blue luminous hands and markers, an offset crown at 4:00, a uni-directional rotating bezel, a Hardlex mineral crystal and an exhibition window screw-down case back. 42.5mm diameter black PVD (hard coated) stainless steel case. It comes on a black nylon strap with black PVD keepers and buckle. Manual and Seiko box are included.

I love the looks of this watch. The ink black and rich blues lend elegance to the sporty appearance. The 4R36 ran at +1 for the WEEK! The dark blue lume comes with a trade-off: in low light, it can disappear because it doesn't stand out enough naturally to be visible and the lume isn't bright enough to glow through the dim light. So it's use as a tool watch is slightly diminished. I'm fine with that because it's not why I chose this one. Drilled lugs are a big plus.

Stylish watch that I hope makes a good gift

Purchased watch as a gift. No feedback yet on the watch, but hoping it hits the mark due to the style (black dial, case and strap). The ordering process via the website was very easy and straightforward. The customer service was helpful and prompt.

Very nice looking watch

Years ago I begged Marc to bring in warches with black pvd cases and blue dials. I knew that in Europe that combination of black and blue was very appreciated by the subdued fationable gentlemen. It took several years till Marc could offer us this kind of combination that in our days one could see used on many brands of cars too. I remember I saw thay combination first time when I visited Siena. One of the flags covering one of the horses competing in the famous annual chavalry race was a in squares of black and bright blue. Exquisite. I changed the strap on this one. I put a nato blue leather strap with black steel pvd tang and rings. Try it fellow buyer. I have been a lient of LIW for almost a decade. In all this period in which I purchased more then 20 watches I have had only one problem with 1 watch. Marc replaced it immediately. The quality and reliability that Marc show as a seller is not only outstanding but unequalled too. Bravo. Peter of Wallachia of Vlad the Impaller.
