    Seiko Recraft Solar Quartz Chronograph

Posted by Bruce Goldstein on Jun 29th 2021

This is a very nice looking watch that looks a lot like what other watch manufacturers call a moon watch or lunar watch. The stop watch has the ability to record lap times , while still recording the total elapsed time . The watch comes on a NATO type band that has an orange stripe on it to match the orange on the stop watch seconds and minutes subdial . The center second moves in one fifth second intervals giving it the appearance of a mechanical chronograph. This Seiko is a great watch and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

    I keep wearing this one

I have about 30 watches. I'm an addict, I admit it. I keep reaching for this one. It is comfortable to wear and has a good wrist presence. Easy to read also. Others have commented on the tiny date window, which I will agree with, though I do find it useable. Solar is a big plus. The styling and quality of build are both first rate. The white hands against the black face are easy to read. The nylon band is thinner than those which came with my Bertuccis but I don't see that as any problem. Sometimes it's hard to know why one just bonds with a particular watch, but this one does it for me. I also have the blue face version of this, which I like, but not as much as this black face one. I think it may be the hands on the blue one are not nearly as much of a contrast, and are therefor harder to read. Anyway - great watch.
