Spinnaker Fleuss Automatic Vintage Style Sports Watch with 43mm Case #SP-5055-01

The Fleuss series of vintage styled timepieces are inspired by the work of Henry Fleuss who is widely regarded as the inventor of the first self-contained underwater breathing apparatus (Scuba) in 1878. The watch has a 43mm diameter case crafted out of solid 316L stainless steel is framed by a C5 see through luminous applied vintage style curved semi bulbous Acrylic bezel. The crystal is made from scratch resistant sapphire.

Powering the watch is a precise Seiko TMI NH35 movement proposing the basis of dependable timing instrumentation cloaked in a timeless vintage aesthetic. An exhibition window case back gives you a view of the movement and winding rotor. The watch comes with a thick leather strap with tie-offs at the lug ends. The band width is 22mm. Water resistance is rated at 15 ATM or 150 meters.

This watch easily surpassed my expectations. It is well executed and has great fit and finish. I didn’t expect a watch at a budget price to be so nice. Mine gains about 12 seconds a week so far which is fantastic at this price point. Handsome, good weight and a simple but well made strap with solid hardware. I would recommend this piece over quite a few more expensive watches. Great service from Island Watch as well.

First impressions with the watch have been outstanding. Fit and finish is great. In the week I have worn it, it has only gained @40 seconds. Can't complain at all. I have two other watches with the same movement in them and the worst loses 65 seconds. I have a small collection of "beginner" watches; Seiko, Orient, Bulova and Citizen and this one looks the "classiest" if that makes sense. It just looks like a more expensive watch. Love the vintage look, the acrylic bezel and the size. I have an 8" wrist so this isn't too big for me at all. First time buying from Long Island Watch and was completely satisfied. I look forward to buying here again.

This is my first automatic watch and I did my research. So far love this watch and haven't had any problems. Performs great and has that vintage vibe. Will probably try out some different straps to change things up.

Beautiful watch, poor experience

The watch is lovely except, The watch I received has an obvious flaw in the bezel at the 9 o'clock and the bezel is misaligned. I can't believe this for my first experience with Long Island Watch. Doesn't anyone actually inspect the inventory? This unit should have been rejected. Very disappointed and will think twice about doing business here.

This is my second watch purchase from Long Island Watch. My first watch was an orient mako, which I love, but this Spinnaker watch is a step above. While I love the orient mako, the Seiko movement is significantly more quite and the watch in general feels more solid. If I had to find one thing I would change about the Spinnaker, it would be that the 43mm case size is a bit too large, but Iâ€™m getting use to it and still love the retro feel this watch has. I took off the leather strap, which is a nice strap on its own to save for another day, and matched it with a gray NATO strap.....match made in heaven! Long story short, if youâ€™re looking at this watch, and you are thinking â€œI love the way this looksâ€, you will not be disappointed. Solid watch, awesome movement, great price, enough said. Plus, you can buy with confidence from Long Island Watch.
