The Fleuss series of vintage styled timepieces are inspired by the work of Henry Fleuss who is widely regarded as the inventor of the first self-contained underwater breathing apparatus (Scuba) in 1878. The watch has a 43mm diameter case crafted out of solid 316L stainless steel is framed by a C5 see through luminous applied vintage style curved semi bulbous Acrylic bezel. The crystal is made from scratch resistant sapphire.

Powering the watch is a precise Seiko TMI NH35 movement proposing the basis of dependable timing instrumentation cloaked in a timeless vintage aesthetic. An exhibition window case back gives you a view of the movement and winding rotor. The watch comes with a thick leather strap with tie-offs at the lug ends. The band width is 22mm. Water resistance is rated at 15 ATM or 150 meters.

    I watched Marc’s video of the Spinnaker Fleuss SP 5055 03 & I thought it looked like a great weekend watch. I was more than surprised after wearing it of what great value it is for the price. I am really enjoying this addition to my watch collection & find myself reaching for it more often. It is already stealing all around time from my Submariner, Speedmaster, Superocean, Clifton & SKX Rotation.

    I own quite a few watches, but have always liked the vintage Fifty Fathoms look, and this looks like the models from the 50s, but with a textured dial, and the case shape is more like a Black Bay. This watch has all the things I tend to look for, sapphire crystal, hand winding and hacking movement ( Seiko NH35 ), screw down crown, and decent water resistance (150m). For added bonus, the leather strap is the nicest stock strap on any watch I have owned. It was only $20 more than a standard SKX, making it a fantastic deal. This watch is going to get plenty of wrist time, and I think Spinnaker is a brand that I am going to pay more attention to going forward.
