Islander 38mm Automatic Dive Watch with Solid-Link Bracelet, AR Sapphire Crystal, and Luminous Sapphire Bezel Insert #ISL-24

Island Watch would like to introduce you to the new Islander dive watch. You will immediately notice that is has a very familiar 38mm case with an offset screw-down crown at 4:00. Thickness is 13mm and tip to tip it is a very wearable 44.5mm. Note that the lug ends are drilled for easier bracelet to strap changes. The case back has a rendering of Long Island on it along with the Islander name, Island Watch and 200 meter water resistance.

Inside the case is an NH36, 24-jewel automatic movement with 21,600 vibrations per hour. This self-winding movement supports hand winding and hacks (seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown). Power reserve is about 41 hours fully wound. The NH36 also has both a day and date wheel viewed at 3:00 on the dial.

The blue dial has SuperLuminova on the hands and hour makers and the Island Watch logo is luminous under 12:00. The 120-click uni-directional bezel has a scratch-resistant blue-grey sapphire insert that is also treated with SuperLuminova for a maximum glow-in-the-dark experience when lights go out.

The dial has enhanced visibility due to the use of an anti-reflective flat sapphire crystal that also guards against scratches. The anti-reflective coating is on the underside of the sapphire and it imparts a bluish hue at some viewing angles.

Upgraded: The bracelet has solid links, and solid end links. Screws are now used for adjustments (instead of pins) for sizing the bracelet. It now also features a robust milled scissor push-button deployant clasp with three position micro-adjustment. Also, The crown is now signed with the Island Watch logo.

NOTE: The Islander dive and dual-time watch is compatible with aftermarket parts available at Island Watch (and elsewhere) for the SKX013 models, such as crystals, bezels, inserts, chapter rings, dials, hands, bracelets, etc.

Sweet watch!

I love the 38mm size and I love Marc's creative use of baby blue, light gray, and white (hands) -- LIW colors. This watch is both comfortable to wear and pops on the wrist. A solid, well-made, fresh-looking piece. Service was first-class, as always.

Fantastic looking watch! Glad I took advantage of Mark's Memorial Day sales. The color really pops and it wears very elegantly. Just wish I had paid more attention to the specs .. was looking for a larger dial but that's on me. The watch is fantastic

Incredible quality and performance. Flawless QC - alignment, accuracy (<2 spd!), fit and finish of all parts. Amazing to think that Island Watch can give you a sapphire crystal & bezel insert, solid 316L bracelet and end links and a super-accurate Seiko movement for this price. I've dealt with Marc and his crew for several years now and their customer support and product quality still amazes me. Keep up the good work!

Love the beautiful blue of the face, the bright white of the hands, and the lume of the bezel and hands. The size is a bit smaller than I usually get, but I'm appreciating the lighter weight. The only criticism I'd offer is that the gray on the bezel really doesn't go with the rest of the watch, nor does they gray offer great legibility with the white minute markings and numbers.

This watch is everything I hoped it would be. All the right features. The lume is AMAZING. The one complaint I have is that the colour is quite different to the colour on the site and youtube review. Although I love the watch I find I'm not wearing it because it's a very different blue to what I expected. Other than that, a great watch indeed. I guess that's a risk buying online. Not Marc's fault though, but not mine either.

I bought this 38mm for my girlfriend because she wanted a dive watch, and there are not many options for a smaller woman's wrist. The watch seems well made. Finishing is very good. Bracelet is nice. Machined clasp, solid end links, screw pins. The blue on this watch is brighter/lighter in person than it was in my screen. The caseback is just ok in my opinion. There is a picture of what I assume is Long Island, and some specs. It just looks like a cheap watch back. I don't know how to explain it, but the caseback is flat and is is laser engraved. It would have been a huge upgrade if here was some depth to it like a Seiko diver, but it is what it is. The only other thing is the crystal. I don't know if it is more noticeable being a smaller dial, but the beveled edge of the crystal makes for some weird distortion where all of the markers show up in the beveled edge. Overall it's a nice watch and I'm happy with it. She loves it so that is all that really matters.
