Islander 39mm Automatic Pilot watch with Blue Dial and Sapphire Crystal #ISL-110

The new Islander ISL-110 is a 39mm Pilot style watch with a Type-B dial. The case is a very wearable 39mm in diameter and it is just 12mm thick. Lug to lug (or tip to tip) measurement is 46mm. The screw-in case back has the silhouette of an F-14 fighter jet etched into it. The iconic F-14 was manufactured by the Grumman company on Long Island and it was featured in the movie Top Gun.

Inside the case is an NH35, 24-jewel automatic movement with 21,600 vibrations per hour. This self-winding movement supports hand winding and hacks (seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown). Power reserve is about 41 hours fully wound. 

The Blue dial has Super-LumiNova on the sword-style hands and hour makers. The dial is unbranded like many of the vintage WWII offerings. The Islander ISL-110 features a Type-B dial with a clearly marked 60-minute scale and Arabic numerals except at 12:00 where a triangle is used. The hour hand, minute hand, and dial markings are all treated with C3 Super-LumiNova. The seconds hand is painted red. You will note that the dial has excellent visibility due to the use of an anti-reflective sapphire crystal that also guards against scratches. Date mechanics have been removed from the movement, eliminating ghost clicks.

This model comes with a Brown leather strap with matching stitching. The buckle is signed (i.e. Islander logo). You can change up the look with a military-style nylon strap and any of our leather straps. The lug width is 20mm.

The ISL-110 Pilot watch features a screw down crown with knurled logo, which provides a water resistance rating of 100 meters.
