This new Islander ISL-29 watch is a revised version of the ISL-12 diver. Due to your feedback, the 45mm case now has a brushed and polished finish. Thickness is 16.5mm and tip to tip it is a very wearable 47mm (i.e. the watch does not wear big on your wrist). The watch has a 200 meter water resistance rating.

Inside the case is an NH36, 24-jewel automatic movement with 21,600 vibrations per hour. This self-winding movement supports hand winding and hacks (seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown). Power reserve is about 41 hours fully wound. The NH36 also has both a day and date wheel viewed at 3:00 on the dial.

The black dial has SuperLuminova on the hands and hour makers. The 120-click uni-directional coin-edge bezel has a scratch-resistant black (diver marked) ceramic insert that is also treated with SuperLuminova for a maximum glow-in-the-dark experience in the dark. It is quite bright and long lasting with a good charge of bright light or sunshine. An LED flashlight with charge it very quickly.

The crisp white dial has enhanced visibility due to the use of an anti-reflective double-domed sapphire crystal that also guards against scratches. The anti-reflective coating is on the underside of the sapphire and it show a bluish hue at some viewing angles.

Again, due to customer feedback, the new ISL-29 watch comes with a all solid link stainless steel bracelet that matches the brushed and polished case. It also features a robust milled scissor push-button deployant clasp with three position micro-adjustments. Note that the lug ends are drilled for easier strap or bracelet changes.

NOTE: The Islander dive and dual-time watch is compatible with aftermarket parts available at Island Watch (and elsewhere) for turtle models, such as crystals, bezels, inserts, chapter rings, dials, hands, bracelets, etc.

This is my 2nd islander and I love it and love the Memorial Day deal I got on this watch! Hoping for more sales on the islander brand watches. Also love my ISL-18 Red October special edition watch! Thanks again!

ratcheting basil very loose too easy to turn, Bracelet clasp and poorly finished too many sharp edges.

I have been looking for a good, affordable, automatic watch to fit my Stormtrooper EDC set for a while now, and had actually been looking at the ISL-35 for a bit, but then the 29 went on sale for memorial day. I was initially concerned with the size, as I have a rather dainty wrist for a 6'1 230 pound guy, but on delivery I have to say this thing just works. You never know how quality will turn out with some microbrands, but I have been pleasantly surprised. A sapphire crystal, 200m watch with a perfectly indexed bezel (better than my Zelos, which cost twice as much) for $225? This thing is a screaming deal. The applied indices are excellent, and the color is spot on. Great lume. It just looks clean. The bracelet was super easy to size (screw in pins for the links, and the tool to remove them came with it, and is pretty high quality). It does have a bit of squeak if you shake your wrist around, but not bad at all, either way it's getting a white and black rubber strap soon to fit the stormtrooper look. My only real quibble is the detent in the bezel, it's a tad weak. It's still only one directional, and it holds reasonably well, but it doesn't take much to move it. That said, it's a quiet ratchet, not the loud clicking that accompanies my Oris' bezel rotation. All in all, it's a great watch, much higher quality than I was expecting, and I love it. Oh, also received it 3 days after ordering, so quick on top of it. This won't be my last Islander.

Awesome quality and delivery. The screws in the metal bracelet are very easy to work with. Ultimately, I swapped out the metal band with a black rubber hybrid strap. I’ll be coming back!

My wife just bought this watch for me for Christmas. I have been wanting an Islander for a long time and once I saw this one, I had to have it. It wears great on my 7 1/4" wrist. I love the fact the Islanders are such great quality at this price point. There is no better watch for $300. I really wanted a diver with a white dial, and I couldn't be happier. I haven't taken it off since I got it. Quality bracelet and sturdy clasp. It really "snaps" into place. Sizing it was really easy too. I watched Mark's video on sizing, which explains the screws used for the links. Quite ingenious really. My only complaint is the bezel is a little loose. It will move easily if you bump it. Really not a big deal, but I have to provide at least one con. Great watch Mark! Keep it up!

I absolutely love this watch, the finish and appearance is absolutely on the money. The dial with the sapphire glass is a joy to view. Would have preferred a little more resistance on turning the bezel, but crucially there is no back play. Fantastic value for money, I'm sure this won't be my last purchase with LIW. (It's not my first) Bravo Marc Bravo!

Marc service is ALWAYS second to none!!! With the ISL-29 he did it again!!! I got a double dome sapphire crystal with AR coating, ceramic insert, Great loom and NH36 Seiko movement for only $299.00. All materials are flawless including the bracelet!!! Looking forward for the ISL GMT!!!

The first of these watches arrived and had a slight issue with the stiffness of the screw down action of the crown. Marc promptly replaced the watch and sent a return shipping label. Excellent prompt service. As to the watch, it is indeed a beautiful piece and I am quite happy with the time keeping and the look. Thank you Marc for the fine work.

Wanted a Long Island watch ever since the Islander came out, but never decided to actually buy one. Finally, this model came out and really caught my eye, and I love it! Such a great value for the money with all of the upgrades over the Seikos that inspired the design. Quality is top notch, and it looks awesome! Thanks Mark for making such a wonderful product!
